Records Fall In 101-39 Win Over Hartwick

Jordan Confessore scored a career-high 15 points
ITHACA, N.Y. -- The women's basketball team (3-1, 2-0 Empire 8) shot a school-record 68.8 percent from three-point range Saturday and recorded the program's second-highest single-game scoring total in a 101-39 win over Hartwick. Ithaca reached the 100-point plateau for just the second time in 841 all-time games (the Bombers scored a school-record 105 points in a 1980 win over St. Lawrence).

All 13 Bombers had scored by halftime and six recorded career-high scoring totals -- including freshman guard Jordan Confessore (South Brunswick/Kendall Oark, N.J.), who finished with career-best totals of 15 points, six rebounds and six assists. Junior guard Megan Rumschik (Williamsville East/East Amherst) added a career-best 10 points. Senior center Erika Steele (Hopkinton/Hopkinton, Mass.) led the Bombers with a game-high 16 points.

Ithaca scored 20 straight points in the first half, extending a 25-11 lead to 45-11, and was never threatened. The Bombers 11 of their 16 three-point attempts and their overall field-goal percentage of 58.0 percent (40 for 69) was the program's second-highest figure.

Steele and junior forward Tracy Bradley (Lewiston/Brunswick, Maine) both pulled down a game-high seven rebounds (Bradley's total was a career-high). Freshman forward Elissa Klie (Ramapo/Wyckoff, N.J.) posted career highs with five assists and four rebounds.

The Bombers host #24 Cortland Tuesday at 6 p.m.
